Since 2005 the Cambridge Central Asia Forum has organised Roundtables on topics like regional cooperation, sustainable development, renewable and non-renewable resources of energy and multilateralism in Central Asia.
It brings together key diplomatic figures from Central Asia and countries that have close interaction with them along with leading scholars from the University of Cambridge to provide a convivial space within which to outline the longstanding interactions of these countries with the rest of the world. The purpose of the meetings is to bring into focus on the countries of Central Asia through the lens of the countries themselves as movers and shakers and envourage the dialogue of regional cooperation through organisations like Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. The meetings are chaired by Professor S.S. Saxena.
The next meeting is on the 15th of March 2013.
